It appears that Hillary Clinton plans to go all the way to the Democratic convention in August and that Barack Obama agrees with her choice to forge ahead.
He agrees with her?
I’m waiting for the book Michelle Obama is going write about this campaign. That book will tell us what Barack Obama really thought of Hillary Clinton and whether or not Barack “agreed” with Hillary. Or, if Mr. Equilibrium is in a kumbaya moment and doesn’t want to disclose his true feelings my hunch is that the outspoken Ms. Obama will tell us what she thought of Hillary Clinton and whether or not she “agreed” with her.
I don’t agree with Barack Obama: Hillary needs to be off the island so that the rest of us can survive this mess.
The truly liberal candidate, John Edwards, could not sustain his candidacy in the face of the mass stampede towards the first “viable” African American candidate and the first “viable” woman candidate despite the fact that Clinton and Obama have no major ideological differences between them and they are moderates. Yet the liberal netroots are shrieking she should go! she should stay! he’s transformative! she’s inside the beltway!
I want Hillary gone but it isn’t because I agree with DailyKos diarists and commentators who label any supporter of Clinton an “Hillary Harpie” and anyone who questions Barack Obama a racist. I don’t agree with the bileous Andrew Sullivan who loathes everything about the Clinton’s. You have made your point, Andrew. Show more pictures of the beagles. Maybe a View From Your Window retrospective? I don’t want her gone because the frozen Frank Rich hates all things Clinton. Frank, keep Bush in the picture. You do that so well. We have ten more months of that reckless, callow man. I don’t want Hillary gone because Keith Olbermann, a man in love with his reputation as the only liberal commentator on television, tells us we should want her gone because he wants her gone. Keith. We can hear Hillary bashing everywhere. Stick to Bush and Cheney and Iraq for your “Special Comment.”
I have done my bit for Hillary Clinton and defended her against the many sexist attacks aimed at her. I have argued for and against her deep into the night.
Now, I just want her gone.
I want Hillary gone for the same reasons Nora Ephron wants her gone.
Some Democrats see the New York Governorship as a consolation prize for Hillary Clinton. But that will probably mean a run against Mr. 9/11 (Rudy the G) and then those two would dominate the news again and I would want her to stay because I would want him gone.
